Computational Science

Note that just about everything on this page is well out of date. I'll be sorting that out at some point in the next 15 years.

Masters Course

The department offers a one year full-time MSc course in computational science which involves both taught modules and a research project. The taught part of the course concentrates on numerical analysis and its applications (particularly to dynamical systems). Contact Prof. T. N. L. Patterson ( Note that this course was "temporarily suspended" last millennium.

Doctoral Programme

There is also a fully active research programme leading to PhD status in the Theoretical & Computational Physics division under the direction of Prof. K. T. Taylor (
