Another case of a British company breaking the law by making unsolicited telephone calls to TPS-registered numbers.
- Apple Home Improvements called me on a TPS registered number to try to sell some of their double glazing.
- When asked why they had called they stated that their "new systems" had some unspecified problems identifying TPS-registered numbers.
- After it was pointed out to them that what they were doing was illegal and that if they could not identify TPS-registered numbers they should desist from calling anyone, they did not confirm that they would stop doing this. They seem to believe that illegal phone spamming is perfectly acceptable.
I have advised all my friends and family not to purchase any goods or services from Apple Home Improvements, and I urge you to do the same. The only way to stop this sort of phone spam permanently is to make it economically detrimental to the perpatrators.
